Purchasing Department. "Service is our Business". The Department's goal is to provide the highest quality of goods and services needed by all Township departments in a timely manner, at the lowest possible price and in compliance with all New Jersey State Laws and Regulations. The Department promotes a fair, open and competitive purchasing environment in compliance with Local Public Contracts Law, regulations, and Lakewood Township Administrative Code.
The Department obtains prices for goods and services through formal and informal quotes, receipt of bids, state contracts, cooperative purchasing and/or request for proposal process (RFP). The purchasing staff, which includes the Purchasing Agent (QPA, RPPO) and Purchasing Specialist (RPPS), maintains a good working relationship with all Lakewood Township Departments to ensure a fair and open purchasing process. The purchasing staff works very closely with Finance Department and other departments to ensure that invoices are accurate and promptly paid.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS: ADDENDUM TO BID PACKAGE FOR THE TOWNSHIP OF LAKEWOOD FOR THE BID TITLED 2021 SOLID WASTE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL SERVICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the scope of work originally outlined in the specs for this project has been substantially limited to reflect bidding only on the Clean Community Program (previously designated as Option E). The current specifications and addendum, which govern the bid package, can be found on the Township website, www.lakewoodnj.gov, or by contacting Purchasing at 732-905-5971 or at yabraham@lakewoodnj.gov. The bid opening date, time and location remain the same. This addendum is now part of the original bid package and has been submitted to all potential bidders in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23c. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following: The bid opening is hereby postponed. The exact date for the bid opening will be posted in a future addendum. This project is a remove and replace of existing equipment in same locations only. The Township is not aware of any potential asbestos concerns that would or may be encountered. The Township is not aware of any warranties on the roofs. Only the Public Works and Municipal Buildings have business automation systems through Jersey State Controls 1105 Industrial Parkway Brick, NJ 08724 (732) 206 0010. If refrigeration line sets cannot be replaced it is acceptable to flush, clean and pressure test the existing refrigeration lines and re-use. As far as is known, this is the first time in recent history that the upgrades are going out for bid. There is no set of drawings for this project as this is only a remove and replace project. This is one bid is for all four buildings. This addendum is now part of the original bid package and has been submitted to all potential bidders in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23c.
